  • Boston Magazine Names Vaughn-Martel Law Attorneys 'Rising Stars' in Annual Super Lawyer Publication.  Attorneys Jessica M. Walsh and Emily Towne McNeil were named 'Rising Stars' by Boston Magazine in its annual Super Lawyers issue. No more than 2.5% of all Massachusetts lawyers are named to Boston Magazine’s annual list of Rising Stars. Chris Vaughn-Martel, the Firm's founding partner, was recognized as a 'Rising Star' in Boston Magazine's 2009 list of Super Lawyers. November, 2013.
  • Vaughn-Martel Law Welcomes Amy Wing, Law Clerk.  Amy Wing joins Vaughn-Martel Law as a law clerk for the 2013-2014 academic year.  Amy has completed her first year of law school at Suffolk University Law School, where she also participates in Suffolk Law’s Child and Family Law Club.  In addition to working at Vaughn-Martel Law, Amy clerks with the Judges of the Boston Juvenile Court, where she does research in both civil and criminal cases involving juveniles.  Read more about Amy Wing here.  September, 2013.
  • Vaughn-Martel Law's Jessica M. Walsh Named to Massachusetts Domestic and Sexual Violence Council.  Attorney Jessica M. Walsh was voted into membership of the Massachusetts Domestic and Sexual Violence Council ("DSVC").  The DSVC is a Boston-based organization comprised of experienced lawyers and advocates, hailing from various law firms, legal service organizations, and community support centers in Massachusetts.  The DSVC works to promote awareness of domestic and sexual violence and assist the Massachusetts legal community in working appropriately and successfully with survivors.  DSVC members are chosen because they possess unique knowledge and expertise in working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, specifically in the legal context.  February, 2013.

BITAHR launched Human Rights and Sex Trafficking: A Film Forum in 2010 to explore the use of film as an effective way to raise awareness and trigger action in combating commercial sexual exploitation of girls and women. The Forum considers the role of film in advancing women’s human rights and the many governmental and non-governmental organizations' efforts to combat sex trafficking.   • Chris Vaughn-Martel Receives 2011 Shining Star Award from Victim Rights Law Center.  The Victim Rights Law Center awarded Chris with its Shing Star Award at its annual Shining Star Reception and Fundraiser.  Each year, the Victim Rights Law Center awards the Shining Star to an attorney advocate who demonstrates exemplary dedication to its organization and clients!  The Victim Rights Law Center provides civil representation and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault and rape.  June, 2011.
